Ok here is my new obsession: the tv series lost. Call me crazy, but I'm totally inlove with sawyer and... locke. Yeah, that's totally me-like. I always like the guys no one cares about, the bad guys or the ugly guys all the girls go "EWWW!" about. Anyway, here are a few fanarts I did. More coming up soon!

Oh my god me too because I have high hopes for Locke he is my favorite character. He's so philosophical and I know he has done some questionable things but I still trust him to do what's right. I hope he doesn't let me down. LOL ;-D

I know how you feel - I'm exactly like that. Who's my fav in Lost? Locke. Who're my fav in Star Wars? Darth Vader, Palpatine, General Grievous. (Well, the robots are cool too. And Obi-Wan get's a corner.) Who in Sleepy Hollow? The headless horseman. Who in The Mummy? The mummy himself of course! Harry Potter? Snape - gotta love that snarky attitude. Lord of the Rings? Well, Gandalf of course, but Sauruman comes in second. The list goes on and on.

My defense agains friends? They're not evil - just missunderstood damnit! *Grin*

Funny, those are my favourites too! not the ultimate baddies, but the misunderstood guys that have a reason to be bad. For instance, I go for Snape. Malfoy comes in second. Why? because he just isn't as subtle as Snape! I went for commodore Norrington in PotC. I went for Frollo in the hunchback of notre dame... I also realised I liked the headless horseman in Sleepy Hollow when I saw the movie again a few weeks ago! I go for Magneto in Xmen, Boromir in lotr... I also love characters like remus lupin or Pippin, they must be the only nice characters I like! there are many others I like, I just don't remember any at the moment... What about you? any other obsessions we've got in common?

Same here! *LoL* Though I did have a slight problem with Boromir - he's too whiny! *LoL* Grima though, is great fun! I liked Draco, but Lucious all the more - there's a delisiously evil man!

I got tons of obsessions - they tend to vary - I'll try to list some: gaming (neverwinter nights, bauldurs gate, kotor, guild wars, and so on), writing, coffee/tea, smoking, stargate atlantis, csi, brittish accents (think Rupert Giles or Spike in Buffy), Ian McKellen (Gandalf), lord of the rings, 10th kingdopm, NEIL GAIMAN (erm, Godlike status in Ellie land), ncis, nightstalker, comics (hellblazer, preacher, lucifer, transmetropolitan, x-men), starwars, harry potter, lost, supernatural, the 4400, TIM BURTON (God #2), Robert Smith/The Cure (semi-god), Danny Elfman... I could go on and on! *Grin*

How about you? What other obsessions do you have? I'm sure I'll remember more of mine if I go through your list. *S*

Tim Burton (just came back from charlie, second viewing, hehe) is definetely one of my gods, I adore Kotor (especially for Carth and Atton), I love stuff like Silent Hill or fable even if I don't play games too much... I love writing too! Oh, yes, other obsessions: Sherlock Holmes, metal and goth music, artists like Tamara de Lempicka, Anthony Hopkins in Hannibal or silence of the lambs (I'm sure you like him too, he reminds me quite a lot of Locke), Sin City for Hartigan, M Night Shyamalan, all stuff like Indiana Jones, back to the future etc, Lemony Snicket, Moulin Rouge, Van Helsing (especially for dracula, yumm, even if I despise vampire stuff, I'm really getting tired of it!), I like Monk from the tv series, Dark City (so much better than matrix), Terry Gilliam (cinematographic god too! especially for Brazil, I love Johnatan Price!!!). I also used to love ATommy Lee Jones, especially for his role of Marshall Gerrard in the Fugitive. One of my first cinematographic loves...
In general, I'm a sucker for Sci fi stuff in general, but more like Dune or star wars than Isaac Asimov or Philip K Dick. I also love heroic fantasy, like Lotr, 10th kingdom (Woooolf!!!) and Willow, but I'm getting a bit tired of some classic stuff like stories that go on about elves and dwarves hating each other, and mean dragons killing everybody blah blah blah. I love animated movies, but not anime-manga, as I'm reaaaally getting tired of it... I do love Miyasaki stuff, and I just loved akira, and can't wait to see steamboy. I'd love to get my hands on last exile too, and I likes the series Escaflowne and such!

Ah, yes - Atton is lovely! *Grin* I game quite a lot, been a gamer a long time now - mainly pc games, not so much for the vide game consoles though. Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde are other obsessions of mine! *S* Big book fan here! I like a lot of goth/punk/alternative music actually! Another thing we got in common! Same with the movies - like all of them. Monthy Python are quite funny - but don't tell my BF, he'd burst with pride iof he knew! *LoL* Tommy Lee is a fantastic actor, not among my top 10 perhaps, but still fabolous! Fantasy and sci-fi, big fan - love William Gibsons stuff! LOVED 10th Kingdom - Wolf is definitely Dreamy Creamy Succulent! *L* Gotten a bit tired of manga/anime myself, love cartoons though, and animations in general - can't wait to see Burtons The Corpse Bride.

Wow, I could go on and on! *LoL*

Corpse Bride is the movie I have been most waiting for this year! wow... Great classic book fan too! hey, did you read Pygmalion, by bernard shaw? Awesome! especially for Higgins, hehe! and I love Victor Hugo, Edgar allan poe, lovecraft, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Roald Dahl, Flaubert, the Bronte sisters, Dickens (not everything though... and I read that such a long time ago), Amelie Nothomb...

That's one book I seem to have missed! Gotta check it out though! Victor Hugo, Poe, Lovecraft and Kafka are classical literature I love! Clive Barker is a genious (though not as much as Neil Gaiman of course!). Roahd Dahl is wonderful! Stephen King is pretty good - some of his books are so-so, some are brilliant - same with Dean R Koonts. Shakespear, Wilde, Camus, Sartre, Twain and Dickens - more classical love. JRR Tolkien, JK Rowlings, CS Lewis, George RR Martin - fantasy at it's best. William Gibson - science fiction god. *Grin* I love reading!

Haha, never heard of George RR martin, but if you like jrr tolkien, cs lewis and Rowling, something tells me I gotta check that out! I should read shakespeare too, especially the night of the kings (that's the french title, dunno if it's the same in english, sorry, english is not my mother tongue, french is my main langage, so I don't express myself perfectly in english!)
In general I prefer books that depict characters with twisted personalities (like frollo in the hunchback of notre dame) or complicated relationships. Character relationships are what really drag me in a story, and if there is a hint of fantasy in that story, well, you'll get me hooked!

George RR Martin is a lot darker, and definitely more interesting! I've read most of Shakespeares works - mostly in english though - my mother tongue is Swedish though, so english is my second language too! *S*

After reading what you wrote about twisted personalities and character relationships I'm sure you'll like George RR Martin - there's a character in the Lannister family that you'll love (I know I did)! The series is called "A game of thrones"!

Oh then I think I've heard of it! in french it's called le trone de fer, I gotta check it out on google! some friends of mine told me it was totally awesome, now I'm even more curious! (if it's really the same book!)

Wouldn't surprise me if it is! Wow, I'd love to be able to read and speak french - I think Charles Baudelaire's poetry collection "Les fleurs du mal" would be a lot more impressive in it's original language - it is a beautiful language after all.

I followed a link from popehippo's userpics page here in pursuit of the Sasuke icon. Just so this comment seems a little less random than it really is. ;)

Hurley's so cute! Hee. Would totally have recognised them without being told who they're supposed to be. :D

I've had a poke around your journal and DA page, and I'm loving your stuff! I agree with the commenter above who said your style was reminiscent of Don Bluth. It's wonderful!

Would you mind if I nabbed Hurley for an icon? I'd credit you, of course. Though I completely understand if you'd rather I wouldn't. It's all good. :)
